Email is great, but SMS ensures your birthday greetings get seen instantly. With the new Birthday SMS feature, you can automatically send a personalized text message to your customers on their birthday alongside their traditional birthday email.

• Direct Integration: Messages are sent securely through your own Twilio account directly to the billing phone number saved on the customer’s account.
• Smart Number Formatting: Phone numbers saved without a country code automatically inherit the customer’s billing country code – no messy database cleanup required!

How to Set Up Birthday SMS:

1. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Birthday SMS.
2. Enter your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, and Sending Number.
3. Draft your custom greeting using placeholders like {customer_name} and {site_title} to personalize the message.
4. Check the box for “Send birthday SMS” and save your changes.

2. Auto-Applying Birthday Coupons (Pro)

Remove friction from the buying process and increase conversion rates. Customers no longer have to remember, copy, or paste coupon codes on their big day.

• Frictionless Experience: Simply edit any birthday coupon in WooCommerce and check the new “Auto Apply” option under Usage restrictions. On the customer’s birthday, the discount is applied directly to their shopping cart automatically.
• Smart Validity Rules: Fully compatible with extra validity days. If a coupon is configured to be valid for 7 days following a birthday, it will auto-apply throughout that entire 7-day window. If a customer manually removes the coupon from their cart, it remains removed for the rest of their active session.

3. Upcoming Birthdays Dashboard Widget (Free)

• Analytics Cleanup: The Birthday column has been removed from the WooCommerce Analytics customer export to keep data clean, while remaining fully visible and sortable in the main Users list.
